House Sitting
We stay in your home overnight so your dog keeps their own bed, their own routine and their own garden.

A dog walked alone gets exercise. A dog walked with friends gets exercise, play, company and the kind of social practice that keeps them easy to live with. They read each other, they run properly rather than trotting to heel, and they come home tired in the way that only comes from a real adventure.

Do you walk dogs in a group?
Yes. Most dogs get far more out of a walk with company than a solitary lap of the block — they play, they socialise and they come home properly tired. Dogs are put with a group that suits them, and if yours is nervous, reactive or recovering from surgery, say so and we will talk honestly about whether a group is right for them.
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes to both. We are fully insured for pet care and hold a current DBS check. You are handing over your keys and your family pet, so you are entitled to see the paperwork — just ask and we will show you.
What happens before my first booking?
We come to your home for a free meet and greet. You show us where everything lives, we meet your dog on their own territory, and we build a care plan around your routine — feeding, medication, favourite routes, things to avoid. Nothing is booked or paid for until you are happy.
Which areas of Basingstoke do you cover?
We cover Basingstoke, Kempshott, Hatch Warren, Brighton Hill, Beggarwood, Winklebury, Worting, Rooksdown and the surrounding villages, roughly within 12km of Basingstoke town centre. If you are just outside that, ask anyway — we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you reliably.
Will my dog get on with the others?
That is exactly what the free meet and greet is for. We will be straight with you about whether a group walk suits your dog, and we would rather say no than put a dog somewhere they will not cope. Plenty of dogs who start out unsure end up with firm friends in the group.
What happens if my dog needs a vet while in your care?
We take your vet details at the meet and greet and keep written consent to seek treatment. If something happens we contact you first wherever possible, and if we cannot reach you we act in the best interest of your pet and get them treated immediately.
Do you walk in bad weather?
Yes. Rain, wind and cold are all fine — your dog still needs the exercise, and they come home towelled off. The only exceptions are conditions that are genuinely unsafe, such as severe heat, ice or storm warnings, when we swap the walk for indoor enrichment and let you know.
How do I pay and do you take a deposit?
Send a booking request through the site and we will confirm availability, then invoice you directly. For house sitting and longer bookings we ask for a deposit to secure the dates. Card payments through the website are coming soon.
Can you give medication?
Yes — tablets, topical treatments and injections including insulin. Tell us what is needed at the meet and greet and we will show you we can do it properly before you leave your pet with us.
